Already home, but your device is still in Turkey? Ana Kurye can review authorized collection and organize international shipping through an appropriate carrier. We provide local assistance and coordination; we are not the international carrier.
Every shipment is reviewed individually. Pickup permission, carrier acceptance and destination import requirements must all be checked.
Which devices can we assess?
Requests may involve iPhones and Android phones, iPads and other tablets, MacBooks and other laptops, cameras, AirPods and Apple Watches. Tell us the model, accessories and condition. A small device is not automatically unrestricted, and no device is guaranteed acceptance to every country.
If several devices or spare batteries are inside a suitcase, describe each item. Approval to collect the suitcase does not approve all its contents for international transport.
Lithium batteries: three different situations
Many personal electronics contain lithium batteries. How the battery is packed matters as well as the device itself.
Packed with equipment
The battery is separate from the device but in the same package, such as a camera with a separate battery. Different packing and transport conditions may apply.
Standalone battery
A battery sent on its own, including a power bank, needs a separate acceptance review. Do not describe it as a battery-free accessory.
Some carriers accept certain battery-powered devices while others do not. The same carrier’s acceptance can vary by country, route, product, packaging and shipper requirements. We check the actual shipment before final confirmation.

Destination rules and customs
Electronic device imports and carrier services differ between destinations. Before shipment, the proposed route, device restrictions and required documents must be checked. Please check the import conditions that apply in your destination country.
Customs duties, taxes and import requirements are determined according to the customs regulations of the destination country.
A forgotten personal item is not automatically exempt. Ana Kurye cannot guarantee that customs duties will not apply, that customs clearance will be granted or that an item will arrive by a fixed date.
Purchase receipts and supporting documents
If you still have the original purchase receipt or invoice, a copy may help support that the device is your own forgotten belonging. It can be included with shipment documents or placed in the parcel according to the carrier’s instructions.
You do not automatically need to place the original document inside the parcel. Having an invoice does not guarantee customs exemption; not having one does not always make shipment impossible. Ask which alternative supporting documents are appropriate.
Share documents through the agreed secure private channel when requested. Do not post passport copies, private addresses, device passwords or account access codes in public comments.
Declare a genuine second-hand value
The declared value should reflect the item's genuine and reasonable second-hand market value. Accurate declarations help customs authorities assess the shipment correctly. Customs authorities may apply their own valuation rules.
Consider the model, age, working condition and current market value. A used device’s value should not automatically be equated with a new retail price. State the currency and explain the basis for your estimate if requested.
Do not deliberately understate the value or inflate it unnecessarily. Never use a false invoice or misleading description. The final declaration must follow the applicable valuation method; customs may independently examine it and request supporting evidence.

Protect the device and measure the packed parcel
Packaging must protect the device against movement, impact and accidental activation. The device type, battery configuration and selected carrier determine the appropriate protective materials, outer packaging and any required marks or documents. We assess those requirements for the proposed shipment.
Measure the finished outer package, including protective packing, rather than only the bare device. Record length, width and height in centimetres and weight in kilograms or grams. Do not guess a zero value when these details are unknown.
From a found item to an approved shipment
- Confirm it has been found: identify the airport office, hotel or other location holding the device.
- Confirm release: the holding party must accept the owner’s authorization and collection arrangements.
- Review shipping: check the device, battery, packaging and destination with the carrier.
- Arrange the agreed collection and shipment: proceed only when the relevant permissions and acceptance conditions are satisfied.

Frequently asked questions
Can you ship a forgotten iPhone from Turkey?
We can review authorized pickup and international shipping coordination once the item is confirmed found. Acceptance depends on the device, battery, packaging, route and destination. We confirm the available option before arranging shipment.
Can you send a MacBook or laptop internationally?
We can assess a recovered MacBook or laptop and organize a suitable shipment where accepted. Tell us the model, condition and destination. Collection permission is separate from international carrier acceptance.
Are lithium batteries allowed in international shipments?
Some shipments containing lithium batteries may be accepted under specific conditions. Installed batteries, batteries packed with equipment and standalone batteries have different requirements. Report damage, swelling, faults or recalls before any transport is arranged.
Does every courier company accept electronics?
No. A carrier may accept one device or route but decline another. Packaging, battery details, destination rules and shipper requirements must be checked for each shipment. A previous successful delivery is not an acceptance guarantee.
Can customs duties apply in my country?
Yes. Destination customs rules determine duties, taxes and import requirements. Your own forgotten belongings are not automatically exempt. Ana Kurye cannot guarantee that no customs duties will apply.
Should I include my purchase invoice or receipt?
If you have it, a copy can help support ownership and describe the shipment. Share it through the agreed secure channel and follow the carrier’s instructions for shipment documents or parcel inclusion. The original is not automatically required, and having a receipt does not guarantee exemption. Without one, ask which alternative documents are acceptable.
What second-hand value should I declare?
Use a genuine, reasonable second-hand market value, considering the model, age and condition, and state the currency. Do not intentionally reduce or inflate it, or automatically use the new retail price. Customs may review the value under its own valuation rules.
Can you collect electronics from an airport or hotel?
We can review collection after the holding office or hotel confirms that the item has been found and accepts the release arrangement. Airport authorization and hotel handover procedures differ. International shipping requires a separate acceptance review.
What dimensions and weight do you need for a shipping quotation?
Provide the packed parcel’s length, width and height in centimetres, and its weight in kilograms or grams. Include the item, holding location, destination country, city, postal code, battery information, estimated value and pickup status. If dimensions or weight are unknown, select Not sure; actual packed measurements are needed before the shipping quotation is finalized.
